Florida Resource Map: User Experience Report

Last spring, FCI had the opportunity to partner with a team from the University of Michigan’s Alternative Spring Break (ASB) to take a fresh look at the Florida Resource Map (FRM) through the eyes of the people who use it most.

For a week, these Michigan Wolverines visited sunny central Florida and interviewed community leaders, nonprofit staff, and social workers, observing how they navigated the FRM during in-depth usability testing.

The result is this thoughtful UX report, which helps give us at FCI a clearer picture of how people search for community resources and which design improvements can make the platform more useful for frontline organizations.

We’re grateful to our Michigan ASB team for the care they brought to this project and for leaving us with recommendations we can put into practice as the FRM continues to grow. Give their full report a read below!
